was incorporated in 1991 by Mark Valentine, who has been in the music and entertainment business since the early 70’s.
Box of Chalk has become the
most active music company in the Kansas City area,
producing over 2,000 music contracts in 2007.
Under the banner of
KansasCityMusic.com, Box of Chalk also brought back the Blues
and Jazz festival.
EVENT DRIVEN MEDIA
Our unique media plans consist of the radio, TV, web and print media that surround special events.
By advertising to people who are interested in Kansas City events, we reach those who are mobile and
have disposable income. We speak to them more directly and more
often than anyone in Kansas City.
Our magazines and show programs are distributed to 150 bars and restaurants.
With our system, we have 23,000 Kansas City e-mail subscribers. TV and radio
outlets have been very willing to trade for ad placement,
show banners and tickets.
